Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Support
Additional Learning Support
Showcase Training are committed to supporting the equality, diversity and inclusion of all our learners. We recognise that not all learners have the same needs and will require differing levels of support to help them to reach their full potential.
Below, you will find support for the most common types of special educational needs and disabilities. For assistance with any other needs, please reach out to us using the form provided.

What is SEND?
The Special Educational Needs Code of Practice 2014 defines someone with SEND as having a need in one of these 4 areas:
- Communication and interaction (e.g. autistic spectrum or speech and language difficulties)
- Cognition and learning (e.g. learning disabilities)
- Social, emotional and mental health
- Sensory and/or physical (e.g. visual, hearing or physical health difficulties)
As per the SEND Code of Practice, we at Showcase Training have a duty to support these needs and adopt a graduated approach to support the needs of our learners.
There are many ways in which we do this from the very beginning of your course or apprenticeship. These include, but are not limited to:
- An application and interview process which enables learners to outline any special educational needs or disabilities from the very beginning
- A knowledgeable team on hand to answer any questions or queries that you may have
- 1:1 training sessions with a dedicated tutor that can be tailored to support your needs
- A dedicated team to offer support, advice and guidance
- Access to adapted learning plans and resources to support your required learning style
- Access arrangements can be made where appropriate to support learners through their exam process
