With Christmas just around the corner, Showcase would like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!
This year has been full of exciting changes and achievements for us and our learners, and we are really looking forward to what 2019 brings. In February, we met lots of really engaging students at Portsmouth College at their careers fair and helped to present Apprenticeships as an alternative to consider for further education.
We moved office in March, now operating from a larger base with a dedicated training room available for group learning sessions, exams, and our new Traineeship courses. In June, we re-branded to Showcase Training from GlobeUs following some changes to the company and to reflect our vision for growth in the coming years; this gave us the ideal opportunity to build a brand new website, and to revise our growth plans.
July saw us partner with Eastleigh College to enable us to extend our Apprenticeships offer to more candidates, a wider geographical area, and to new sectors, which is really exciting. The partnership has also enabled us to deliver Childcare Traineeships and free Maths and English to adults – a brilliant opportunity for anyone that is not able to follow a college route.
Following the scorching summer and the nail-biting World Cup, we launched our Safeguarding Level 3 commercial courses and expanded our team, welcoming Nikki, Sam, and Amy to Showcase. In November, we were delighted to be awarded our Matrix Standard Accreditation – an industry accreditation that is widely recognised and revered.
Moving into 2019, we are excited to see what the new year will bring – we are already planning to move to bigger premises, and expand our delivery team which will mean we can deliver a wider range of courses to more people. Our jobs really are a dream come true.
