Starting a new job can be daunting; add in gaining a qualification and it can be downright terrifying. Not knowing what to expect can be one of the worst parts. This post hopes to explain what you will experience during your time with Showcase.
When you are looking for an Apprenticeship with Showcase, your first contact will most likely be with James, our Director of Sales and resident chatterbox. It’s his job to help you find the perfect setting to complete your Apprenticeship. He will arrange interviews for you, give you feedback and if, once you’ve started your Apprenticeship, you change your mind on the setting, he will help you find one that suits you better.
Once you have been signed on to your Apprenticeship, you will meet your Tutor. Each of our Apprentices has a dedicated Tutor that will support them through their qualification by drawing on their wealth of knowledge in their specific sector. All of our Tutors are trained in Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity, and Information, Advice and Guidance so they can fully support our Apprentices.
One of the first tasks you will have to do is complete a Learning Styles Assessment. This helps your Tutor understand how you learn best, so they are then able to tailor their teaching and the assessment methods to suit you. This is your Apprenticeship, and we will support you as much as we can.
During your Apprenticeship, you will work alongside experienced members of staff to help you gain job-specific skills and gradually increase your level of responsibility. You will not only be gaining a qualification and relevant skills, but you will also be earning a wage while you’re learning.
Your Tutor is only ever a phone call or an email away and they will help you in any way that they can. Our office staff are also available to support you during your time with Showcase.
